Low-pressure system adjustment based on aircraft cruise thrust

The Turbofan engine represents the type of propulsive technology mostly used in commercial aircrafts, and until that new disruptive technologies take place, researches to optimize this system shall be continued reduce environmental impacts. aim paper is propose a methodology for low-pressure preliminary design (fan/low-pressure turbine), based on aircraft cruise thrust adjustment from off-the-shelf turbofan engine, focusing reducing specific fuel consumption individual mission. This work carried out according following steps: (i) model development with calculation velocity diagram flow angles applied system; (ii) estimation baseline parameters limited data (an integrated developed Gasturb MATLAB softwares are applied); (iii) evaluation strategies increase component efficiencies their implementation by computer simulation; (iv) reapplication considering adjusted components; (v) analysis proposal results matching between lowest net required flight phase aircraft. As final result, it demonstrates proposed promising scope, approach may considered feasibility standpoint manufacturer implementation, since core its external sizing do not affected.
